The month started off with an annual event the sorority I was a member of in college puts on. It is called Paint Denver Red where we raise money for Cardiac Care research specifically for women. It is the number one killer of women and so few people know that. My good friend, JoRae, is the one that works to organize it and she did an amazing job this year, with over 300 people in attendance!! It's always a great chance to catch up with some of the girls that have impacted my life over the years, and this year was no different!
Scott unfortunately couldn't make it with an early morning ice fishing trip the next morning, but I got the chance to catch up with Shawn and Chris. Shawn was one of the best men in our wedding and Chris was an usher and both are great friends!
I also got the chance to see Juliana. Juliana and I never really hung out much in college, but since have really connected. She has shown me so much strength and love. Not many people have even an ounce of the courage, strength and compassion jewels has! She has truly inspired me to be a better person and to do anything I dream!
I also recently spent one of my Friday's off with mom and Cole. It was a great time to spend the day with the two of them. We took Cole to the Children's Museum and it was so fun to watch him play and learn. Plus I had fun playing with the camera. I will let the shots speak for themselves, but it's amazing to see how much he has grown and how fast he is learning, the first is him showing his teeth! And it's funny to have pictures of him in Dad's shoes. I think we have a picture of each of us girls in his boots!

Valentine's day has also come and gone. We didn't do much other than spend some nice quality time together as well as with our good friends Ernest and Jennette. Friday the 13th, I made Scott a nice dinner (which doesn't happen much with me, I still need some lessons!) and we spent the evening watching his dad have a great night at the track with a few wins and a second! Then on Valentines we ate lunch at Red Lobster so we wound up at Bass Pro Shops, of course. :) Then Sunday we drove up to Estes with Ernest and Jennette. Along the way we stopped so the boys could shoot their guns, and we found a really neat Indian Trading Post. We then headed to Estes, had lunch and walked around enjoying the nice weather for February. Before leaving we headed towards the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park hoping to see some Elk. We definitely weren't disappointed, kind of looked like some of the elk had been moving out of the park as they are working on thinning out the herd that has gotten a little large.

Overall, it has been a great month!

Playing with the camera! He looks mean, but he is just being mouthy!!
Overall it was a nice evening...Just our style.
