It's a sister thing, you wouldn't understand...

...that is unless you have sisters. Or even friends that you consider sisters! :-)

Sara comes home in a week and the closer it gets the more and more I realize how much I have missed her. It's hard to believe that when we were in high school and younger we fought as much as we did. And I am sure there are times I imagined life as a single child...I'm so glad I have matured over the years, because I couldn't imagine my life for even one second without them!!

I saw a clip on a CNN news show the other day where they interviewed three sisters. The oldest was 98 if I can remember correctly, the youngest 91. They spoke about their relationships and it was amazing how much it sounded like my sisters and I. They don't always get along, even after 90 some odd years of life, but that never makes a difference. What they have is much deeper and stronger than that. And I know I have that with my sisters, and more importantly always will. It doesn't matter where our lives take us, what roads we go down, what things we deal with, good and bad, they will ALWAYS be there. Maybe one day, CNN will interview us on the front porch of one of our houses, sitting in our matching rockers, discussing who we are and how we would never be who we are without our sisters.

So yeah, it's a sister thing...
