It is the first day of May and go figure, we are awaiting a spring storm, with snow. Winter just has no desire to let go yet this year. And I guess the weather kind of fits the mood of our friends and ourselves this month.

Easter has come and gone, as well as a few anniversaries for our friends this year. Dave's parents had us all over to their house for a get together on the anniversary of his death. I think it was really good to get everyone together, however, it is still very weird to be around all of those guys and not see Dave. It has also been a year since Justin's (audre's dad) death. I can't imagine how difficult that has been for Christina and his family, but it makes me happy to know that they have Audre to see him in. I can only hope that gives them some comfort.
Scott's hard work has paid off for him in a pretty big way these last few weeks. His boss decided to take a job closer to his own home and Scott was given the opportunity to fill this spot! It's a chance for him to finally prove his worth and abilities! I couldn't be more proud of him! He has worked so hard the last five years, from basically the bottom up. He was determined to do good work at his job and it has shown. His GM is putting all his faith in Scott to do a good job and make a difference in his team, and I know he can do this. Yes, I'm partial, but he has given his all to this job and now he really has the opportunity to use his experience, degree, personality and work ethic to make a difference on not only himself, but the buisness he works for, and now the employees he manages. I know there will be an adjustment period and he will face challenges, but I have no doubt he will make it through these like the man he is and I will be there next to him all the way...
The weather has been keeping everyone in lately, but I am hoping that changes soon. We have a 'girls' trip planned down to NM for Kathryn Myer's wedding, which I am really looking forward to!! I think it will be a great opportunity to get our class together and have fun as a group and hopefully mend some broken fences, or at least begin to realize that some things are more important than our differences. And Scott will have a chance to go camping with his buddies over this same weekend, we are both looking forward to the summer!!
We have a busy weekend planned this weekend with family, which is always wonderful! Saturday we will be going to Haxtun with Scott's mom, sisters, and neice to celebrate his Grandpa's 80th birthday, then Sunday it's down to my parents where we will get to see my Uncle, who is in town for a few days. Then Monday we finally get to make it to a Rockies game this year!! And even better it will be with both of Scott's parents, both of his sisters, and his grandparents. I'm really looking forward to this!! And of course this weekend I will get to play with Cole, who started crawling a week ago, and I know before long he will utter his first words which of course will be Aunty Meg!;-)

Oh, and on a funny note, Tanner attended his first birthday party a month ago!! It was a pool party at an indoor swimming facility for dogs!! He had a blast, I couldn't keep him out of the water! I think he is officially ready for camping season at the lake this year!!!
