Florida was a blast!!! We all had such a great time and would have loved to stay longer (although, we were all ready to get home to Colorado's weather!). Sara and Justin were great hosts, allowing us all to stay at their house! They have amazingly gracious neighbors, who allowed us to use their pool while we were in town, and a great friend who took us out to the beach one day to get our family photo taken (I will post when we have them back).
The first day out there we rented a boat to take us out to crab island, named for it's shallow water in the middle of a bay, crawling with crabs (although, this year I saw more jellyfish than crabs!). We just spent the day there relaxing in the warm water, swimming and enjoying each other's company.
The next day a few of us went on a fishing trip to do some deep sea fishing! I couldn't believe the amount of fish we caught, or the amount of work it was! Defintiely a bit tougher than our freshwater fishing here in Colorado, but we had a blast, after a little sea sickness! :-) After we got home we went to dinner at MacGuire's pub, it has absolutely delicious food!!! But also is a neat place to go because they have dollar bills hanging all over the restaurant!
Mack took us on a small tour of the Air Force Base, but got us onto a Spooky! It was a huge plane and I can't believe he can fly those, or will fly those!! I wouldn't be able to remember one button in the cockpit, let alone the hundreds that were there!!
Our last day we just relaxed at Navarre Beach, which is less than five minutes from Sara and Justin's house!
It was so great to go out there and spend the time with them as well as the rest of the family! I can't wait to go back!
